day 2: strategic action plan
When creating an action plan for your business, it's important to look at what you aren't doing so well. It's also critical to take a look at why those things aren't working. What's stopping you? Where have you run into a wall that's keeping you from being more successful? Today we'll take a look at that. So pull out a piece of paper and spend an hour answering these questions.
What aren't we doing well and why?
All of us have those things we keep holding on to with the thought that it may produce for us some day. But may be not. You need to be ruthless with the list. May be you are just ahead of the curve on some products or services (your prospects haven't discovered they need them yet). Or may be you came to the market too late. Or perhaps you just need to tweak things a bit to make them more effective.
What have our barriers to success been in the past?
Ok so what's holding you back? Is it time? Money? Something else? One of the biggest barriers for most small business owners is just getting started. Nothing happens until you take action. Make a list of what you think is holding you back - make sure you write this down.
