![]() This day, 20th August; 41 years ago, I was born to this good earth. I was a healthy, beautiful, naughty baby, and I cried a lot - according to my dear mum. I would like to send out a big MALO 'AUPITO (Thank You So Much) to every single one of you who have taken a few minutes out of your day to write to me, call me, text me, and email me to wish me happy long life. I want each and every one of you to know that I really appreciate your time, kind words, and for sharing your beautiful souls with me - I am glad we are connected on here and are friends. I feel special and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing day - just how I wanted it to be. I hope we will continue to share and challenge ourselves with each of our passions and share our wisdom, and experience with those we care about and who needs them most. Birthdays come by once a year - and I am definitely a year older, wiser, and happier! I am so grateful to have found a very loving, and wonderful person in whom I share my life with and who has spoilt me every day - like every day is special to us. I believe we should treat our days and relationships in this way - that every day is special, and not to take any one, any thing, and any day for granted. Thank you Jonesy for being my best friend, soul mate, and my beer/wine buddy. Even though my day went so fast, and with so many tasks to accomplish, I managed to fulfill them with a smile. I spent half of my morning with our two adorable and grown-up puppies; Brownie & Blackie, then another good couple of hours walking through the plant nursery in Tokomololo, admiring the freshness and beauty of the different kinds of plants they grow in there. I bought so many plants including, sandalwood (ahi), mohokoi, and siale tonga, to just name a few. Managed to attend to couple of meetings, and submit my writings to the local media. Then it was lunch time; Jonesy and I still managed to squeeze in time from our busy schedules to share one of my lovely home-made steak sandwiches in the garden while enjoying the warmth of the sun with our puppies. We like to keep things simple, enjoyable, and memorable - it's priceless. I also paid a visit to Ying & Tom for my girlie manicure and pedicure plus the hair got to get some treatment and my usual blow-wave. Got to love Ying & Tom, Chinese owners of the Hair Salon & Beauty Salon at the International Dateline Hotel on Vuna Road. They've always done a good job, their numbers are: Yin 888 2222, Tom 888 5888. We ended my special day with lovely meals for dinner and good company at the Waterfront Cafe & Lodge on Vuna Road. For my main - I chose lemon pepper sauce with mahimahi, roast potatoes, and salad. Really enjoyed it. Great service, good food, and friendly staff - I highly recommend this place. I promised not to party hard this time - well, I guess it comes with the 'older, wiser, and happier' phase in my life. Until next year. God Bless you all.
